generic seminars

The generic PCM Seminars are not tailored to specific areas or industries. The generic seminars are:

  • Introductory 3-day PCM Seminar
  • Advanced Seminar
  • Certification Seminar

Introductory, Advanced and Certification Seminars are all a prerequisite to becoming a PCM Provider.

Introductory PCM Seminar

The PCM toolbox offers a number of different tools allowing you to understand your own behaviour. Suddenly it becomes obvious why you respond in a particular way in certain situations. And you can anticipate the behaviour of people at work, in a social setting or at home.

After the seminar you will have the tools to:

  • achieve listening skills to a mastery level
  • decode and understand other people’s behaviour
  • predict and identify the onset of behavioural failure patterns
  • intervene constructively through communication
  • have an effective mass communication model as a leader
  • detect and correct miscommunication before it creates an incident
  • find out why something has happened
  • respond quickly to situations and defuse stress
  • make people do a U-turn back into positive behaviour.

Advanced PCM Seminar

The advanced seminar focuses more strongly on what is behind the failure mechanisms when we or others get stressed, making it easier to apply PCM in a variety of situations.

Specifically you will learn about:

  • the phase issues a particular personality type faces, and what drives many of our behaviours when we are under stress
  • transference, the role it plays in our behaviour and how it creates miscommunication
  • how personality types, their psychological needs, communication channels, their perceptions and stress patterns all hang together and are highly predictable
  • how those stress patterns are linked to particular ways people write and talk – you will be able to analyse letters and emails to understand the personality type of the author and identify whether they are under stress
  • when and how failed communication or a lack of motivation drive us into stress
  • how language, tones, gestures and other indicators help us to assess a situation and what we can do to motivate others and communicate effectively.

PCM Certification Seminar

PCM Certification qualifies participants to use the PCM system and all available PCM Profiles and Seminars. The five-day Certification Seminar looks in-depth at the PCM model and how to apply it in a practical way to meet specific learning objectives. This seminar is highly interactive and offers lots of opportunities to practise all modules and communication processes with others.

During the two-day certification, participants will demonstrate their ability to deliver the PCM modules and to implement PCM principles with their audience during their presentation.
